Julie and the team
Julie qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and has always worked in personal injury litigation since then. She began working on brain injury cases as a newly qualified solicitor and increasingly specialised in that area over the years, working exclusively in brain injury since 2003. Julie has a genuine interest in brain injury and its impact and has a sense of privilege and pride that the skills and experience she has developed over the years can and do make a real difference to the lives of her clients.
Julie is originally from Coseley in the West Midlands. She is friendly, down to earth and aims to put her clients at ease at all times.
Julie is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and Headway – the brain injury association solicitors list. She does not receive any work from claims management companies or insurance companies, and most of her cases are referred personally.
Julie has acted for numerous brain injured clients and is used to dealing with cases of the highest complexity for adults and children. She regularly recovers damages well in excess of £1million for her clients and all her cases are issued in the High Court in London. Julie has dealt with many cases involving both lump sum payments and periodical payments and has recovered the highest periodical payment in the county to date.
Outside of work Julie has, for many years, been involved in various charities supporting brain injured clients and their families including Headway and CBIT. She also founded and is the Chairman of the Yippee Group which is a charity that provides a social network for young people with brain injury in Kent. She is actively involved in that group, attending all meetings and providing administrative support to the group. Julie’s hobbies outside of work include running, swimming, horse riding and socialising with her friends and family.
Julie is assisted by another fully qualified solicitor, Samantha Green. Samantha qualified as a solicitor in 1991 worked at the firm Cripps Harries Hall in Tunbridge Wells. Having had two children, Sam returned to work and has worked exclusively with Julie for the last 5 years.
Julie and Sam are assisted by a legal assistant Clare Cornwell. Clare lives in Tunbridge Wells and is training to be a Legal Executive.
